OUR STORY
In Detroit and its neighboring areas, systemic barriers continue to impede the financial stability and well-being of families, adults, and teens. These challenges are deeply rooted in economic disparities, limited access to essential services, and a lack of financial literacy. Additionally, many individuals face significant obstacles due to a lack of legal knowledge and advocacy.
At Corporate Development Institute, we are driven by a single purpose: empowering families and youth through financial literacy, mentorship, and advocacy. We believe that knowledge is the foundation of stronger futures, and every individual deserves the tools and support to thrive in everyday life.
Our journey began with a simple mission—to raise awareness and provide education on the essential principles of financial literacy for individuals and families. Over time, we expanded our programs to include mentoring for youth, equipping them with practical skills, confidence, and guidance to navigate life’s challenges. Recognizing that financial knowledge alone is not enough, we also offer dedicated, community-based legal advocacy, ensuring underserved families and individuals have access to resources and support to protect their rights and futures.
We are building stronger communities—one family, one youth, and one opportunity at a time. Together, we create informed, empowered, and thriving communities, where financial literacy meets justice, opportunity, and dignity for all.
